How you would deal with cheating, falsification, plagiarism, etc. ?

hi guys,

Have you ever deal with cheating, falsification, plagiarism, etc. after the contents students copied?

If you were the instructor or the teacher, as well as the measures you might take to prevent or what would you deal with such incident?

Please give some ideas or suggestions~

Thank youHow you would deal with cheating, falsification, plagiarism, etc. ?
I would hope that your institution has some sort of a student elected body to deal with violations of honor that seems to be a great deterrent and model for dealing with such infractions. If it is possible threaten an automatic failure of the coarse also handouts on exactly what constitutes plagarism etc.help because in my experience most people who plagarize don't exactly fully understand what constitutes as plagarism. So a clear definition of that could also help.How you would deal with cheating, falsification, plagiarism, etc. ?
Plagarism of any kind is not tolerated at the collegic level. You are immediately withdrawn from the class.
I am a Journalism teacher and my policy has always been zero tolerance on plagerism and cheating or copying... Once you are known for letting it slide or for giving a ';warning'; to first timers - you can count on all your students having a ';first time.';

If you recognize it, look it up...if you miss it - lucky student. They have to learn right from wrong or they will ge tlazy.
When I caught students, it depended upon the severity of the offense. Always meant a failing grade for that assignment, with more repercussions if merited. I have known of profs that gave the full punishment (expulsion) for any offense.
When I was a student; I turned them in and when I was a teacher; I threw them out.

ZERO tolerance; well maybe not in K-3...
